Lucid Motors has released a video showing its luxury electric Tesla rival performing winter testing on the snowy fields of Minnesota.
The extreme cold testing, which was performed a few months back, is an important part of any new vehicle, but especially an electric vehicle to demonstrate and analyze how it copes with temperatures as low as -27F (-33C) and performs in winter road conditions.
The video shows the all-electric sedan validating vehicle dynamics features such as antilock braking, traction control, and stability control.
It shows four sub-zero courses: a circle track, an ice field, a snow field, and a handling track. Two Lucid Air beta prototypes charge across deep and packed snow, polished ice, and split conditions with surface traction that differs for each side of the car.
