The United Nation’s Environment Program is supporting developing countries to transition to low emissions mobility, including South Africa, where it recently saw a number of new charging stations opened.
The UN Environment joined a team of all-electric vehicles, which included Nissan Leafs, BMW i3s, Jaguar I-Pace’s and more, in South Africa that made 2,000km journey from Pretoria to Cape Town to spread awareness about electric mobility. The Moving Forward mission aimed to show the possibilities of EVs and to encourage people to adopt the technology.
