Global chemistry company Chemours has announced an upcoming free webinar in collaboration with Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology International. The webinar, will take place Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. London time (GMT +1:00), will focus on the innovative dry electrode coating process for lithium-ion battery (LiB) production.
The webinar will feature two prominent speakers from Chemours: Sven Berggoetz, Business Growth Leader Europe, and Ahmed Elabd, Application Development Engineer. Berggoetz brings over 15 years of international experience in commercial positions within the chemical and technology industries, with a focus on the automotive sector. Elabd, who holds a PhD in polymer binder research and completed a postdoc at Stanford University on solid-state batteries, serves as Chemours’ Lead Battery Engineer in EMEA.
During the webinar, attendees will gain valuable insights into the current wet slurry process for LiB battery production and the advantages of the new dry electrode coating process. The speakers will discuss how dry electrode coating offers cost reduction, sustainability, and performance benefits compared to the traditional wet slurry method. They will also explore the role of advanced fluoropolymer binders in enabling the dry electrode process and Chemours’ commitment to advancing battery production technology.
“We are excited to share our expertise and insights on the dry electrode coating process with the industry,” said Sven Berggoetz. “This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of how this innovative approach can revolutionize battery production, making it more sustainable and cost-effective.”
The webinar is open to all interested parties, and registration is now available. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the speakers and ask questions during the live session.
