Volta Trucks has confirmed the expansion of its Truck as a Service (TaaS) hub network in Europe, with two new sites confirmed in Duisburg, Germany, and Madrid in Spain.
The new German Volta Trucks hub is in Duisburg, to the west of the Rhine-Ruhr region. The new centre covers 3,000m², incorporating eight service and maintenance bays, twelve external truck parking spaces, a showroom, office space, and conference rooms. The centre also houses Volta Trucks Academy – the brand’s specialist training centre which will be used to educate drivers, sales teams, technicians, and fleet operators.
In Spain, the new Volta Trucks hub, located in the Madrid municipality of Coslada, is positioned to the east of the capital. The site is also strategically positioned close to Mercamadrid, Spain’s main fresh food distribution area along with Madrid’s main freight terminal and Madrid–Barajas Airport. The state-of-the-art facility covers an area of around 2,500m² and will house eight truck parking spaces, four workshop bays providing maintenance and servicing along with a showroom, administration offices, a customer call centre, and the Volta Trucks Academy.
Casper Norden, chief fleet solutions officer at Volta Trucks, said, “The new hub locations in Duisburg and Madrid are a critical element in delivering the Truck as Service (TaaS) solution. They join sites already established in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, south of Paris, and Tottenham, in London. Like its Paris and London hubs, the Madrid and Duisburg hubs will be equipped with a range of chargers strategically installed to meet the charging needs of the Volta Zero alongside other LCVs and passenger cars.
