Seat’s high-performance sub-brand, Cupra, is set to debut its first all-electric vehicle at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show and has given a glimpse of its interior to whet the appetite.
Not much has been given away from the image, simply showing a sporty alcantara steering wheel and lashings of carbon fiber across the door panels, while another obscured shot reveals the rear and its profile in a window reflection show it will be an SUV.
“An advanced 100% electric powertrain is the dynamic force behind this four-door crossover with the stature of an SUV and the sleek lines of a sports coupe, its exclusive and iconic shape embodying our DNA,” it reads on the Cupra website.
The website refers to the model as the ASUVe, and the teaser shot shows a very Tesla Model X-like appearance. As for the powertrain and platform, no details have been revealed but it is likely to be employing the modular MEB platform from its parent company, Volkswagen Group.
“The concept car’s sculptured exterior lines are mirrored in its interior. A space that mixes material and technological concepts with openness and focus to create a cabin that provides the perfect balance between driver orientation and passenger comfort,” it says.
While the cryptic nature might be enough to have you bursting with anticipation, we might not have to wait until Frankfurt on September 10, as the brand will be performing a digital reveal on September 02, before the full physical debut at Frankfurt.
