The latest model in the rebirth of AC Cars sees the AC Cobra 378 Superblower MkIV as a new emissions-free model featuring one of the brand’s strongest specification and performance combinations thanks to an electric powertrain.
AC has introduced a power system from UK-based Falcon Electric that delivers 460kW power, 1,000 NM torque, and a 54kWh battery pack for performance figures of 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds, as well as 200 miles range and a gross weight of less than 1,190 kg.
“Eliminating excess weight brings with it positive benefits for the car’s owner. Lower overall weight reduces energy consumption, allowing the batteries to deliver a longer range and the ability to drive the car to AC’s traditionally high standards for speed and acceleration which the marque has achieved over many years,” said AC’s Alan Lubinsky.
The retail selling price for the AC Cobra Series 4–electric will be £168,000, with the first customer deliveries of the car are expected in the summer of 2021.
