Signaling a move from traditional taxi manufacturing to a pioneering force in electric mobility, LEVC has introduced the L380 Luxury MPV. This groundbreaking vehicle marks the first in a new line of fully electric models from LEVC, underpinned by its Space Oriented Architecture (SOA) platform, promising unmatched spaciousness and luxury.
At a design event held in Yishang Town, Hangzhou, China, LEVC provided a glimpse into the aesthetic inspirations driving the L380’s design philosophy. Featuring seating for up to eight passengers, the cabin is adorned with premium materials including soft semi-aniline leather, Alcantara fabrics, and intricate chromes and crystals, with the aim of creating an opulent environment.
Key highlights of the interior include a floating dashboard and a panoramic glass roof spanning over 2.18 square meters, flooding the cabin with natural light. Additionally, unique elements reflecting international cultures adorn the interior, from traditional Chinese Ruyi shaped air vents to a meteor shower cabin lighting effect incorporating iconic London landmarks.
Externally, the L380 sets new standards in MPV design with its sleek and aerodynamic silhouette, influenced by aircraft aerodynamics and accentuated by meticulously crafted details such as a floating roof and wheels inspired by the London Eye. The vehicle offers a choice of four dynamic body colours: Pearl White, Ink Jade Black, Sapphire Blue, and Emerald Green.
The development of the L380 has been spearheaded by LEVC’s Global Chief Design Officer, Brett Boydell, and his team, who have integrated their diverse experiences from renowned luxury car brands into the design process.
Commenting on the milestone, Alex Nan, CEO of LEVC, expressed his excitement about the L380 setting new standards in the luxury MPV sector. He emphasized LEVC’s commitment to leveraging innovative SOA technology to expand its global presence and redefine the future of e-mobility.
With its rich history rooted in urban transportation solutions, LEVC’s L380 represents a significant step towards delivering smart, green, and luxurious mobility options. Scheduled for launch in China this year, with plans for a UK market release within the next two years, the L380 promises to redefine the landscape of electric vehicles with its combination of luxury, space, and cutting-edge technology.
