Kia Corporation has showcased its latest EV lineup at the brand’s 2025 EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. The Korean automaker presented three new models: the EV4, PV5, and Concept EV2, highlighting the next phase of its electrification strategy.
The EV4, previously revealed as a concept at Kia’s 2023 EV Day in Seoul, makes its debut as the company’s first electrified sedan and hatchback. It joins Kia’s award-winning electric lineup, which includes the EV9 (2024 World Car of the Year) and EV6 (2022 European Car of the Year). The EV4 aims to bring innovative features to the C-segment sedan market.
The Concept EV2 previews an upcoming B-segment SUV that will expand Kia’s EV family. Like the EV4, it focuses on making EVs more accessible with features that exceed typical expectations for its class.
The PV5, first shown as a concept at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, represents Kia’s initial offering in its new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) business strategy. Built on a dedicated platform, the PV5 features modular design elements that provide exceptional flexibility for various uses.
“Kia remains committed to becoming the world’s leading EV brand and sustainable mobility solutions provider by enhancing the options and experiences we offer our customers,” said Kia President and CEO, Ho Sung Song. “With models like the Kia EV4 and the vision shown in the Kia Concept EV2, we strive to democratize EV ownership, making the benefits of sustainable mobility solutions open to everyone.”
The event displayed nine vehicles in total, including two sedan and two hatchback versions of the EV4, and four PV5 variants: Cargo, Passenger, Wheelchair Access Vehicle, and Crew. The exhibition also featured Kia’s PBV-dedicated E-GMP.S architecture and the new Kia AddGear program, which allows customers to personalize their PBV models with custom accessories.
Spain was selected as the location for this second EV Day event due to its importance in Kia’s electrification strategy and the rapid growth of the European EV market.
