Czech automaker Škoda has expanded its Enyaq electric SUV lineup with two new entry-level models, the Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition. The new variants, which opened for orders on July 11, 2024, start at £36,970, making the award-winning electric SUV more accessible to a broader range of consumers.
Both new models feature a 55kWh battery pack with a net capacity of 52kWh, providing a WLTP range of up to 234 miles for the Enyaq 50 and 232 miles for the Enyaq 50 Edition. The rear-mounted electric motor delivers 170PS and 310Nm of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds, with a top speed of 99mph.
Charging capabilities include a peak DC charge speed of 145kW and 11kW on AC connections. A DC rapid charge to 80% takes approximately 25 minutes, while a full charge on an 11kW AC connection requires about five and a half hours. The battery comes with an eight-year, 100,000-mile warranty.
The Enyaq 50 models replace the previous Enyaq 60 variants in the lineup, reducing the entry cost by £2,000. Standard features include 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, a Loft interior Design Selection, and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. The Edition model adds full LED Matrix beam headlights, heated front seats and steering wheel, privacy glass, and additional safety features.
Škoda has also simplified the broader Enyaq range, which now includes the Enyaq 85 Edition, Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, Enyaq 85 L&K, and the top-tier Enyaq vRS. All Enyaq 85 models are equipped with a larger 82kWh battery pack with a 77kWh net capacity.
The introduction of these new models reflects Škoda’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle offerings and making them more accessible to a wider audience.
