Volkswagen will reveal the latest member of its ID family at Auto Shanghai this April. The ID Roomzz will be a zero-emission, full-sized SUV and will be the sixth vehicle to be based on VW’s MEB platform. The car will debut in the Chinese market in 2021.
The ID Roomzz follows the ID 1, Crozz, Buzz, Vizzion and Buggy, and will be built on the OEM’s electric vehicle platform – the modular electric drive matrix. Although only sketches have been revealed, Volkswagen has also revealed that the Roomzz will have Level 4 autonomy.
“The ID Roomzz shows us what we can expect from full-size electric SUVs in the future,” says Klaus Bischoff, chief designer at Volkswagen. “The puristic look emphasizes the clear function and the user experience is intuitive and natural.”
