Honda has announced the name of its all-electric Urban EV, which has grown from prototype to full production vehicle, as the Honda e.
The funky and sporty compact car has been teasing crowds at motorshows for the past two years, most recently at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show where the manufacturer showed off a renewed version of the design.
The consumer interest in the Honda e, which has had over 6,500 expressions of interest, will play an important role in company’s electric vision strategy where it will see all of its models electrified by 2025.
Joining this vision is also the announcement of an all-new Honda Jazz that will be available with a hybrid powertrain featuring advanced i-MMD technology. Ahead of its 2025 electrification goal, Honda will expand the application of its i-MMD dual-motor hybrid system, with the introduction into smaller segment cars
The next-generation Jazz will make its international premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show later this year.
