To inspire more consumers to adopt a future for electric vehicles, charging company Volta has unveiled a complete redesign of its charging stations to feature high-resolution displays and interactive lighting.
To enhance the customer charging experience the new stations have a sleek profile with a design dominated by 55in HD displays on both sides that are capable of showing advertising, sponsor partner messages, or helpful community-focused messages. Throughout the charging process, the station communicates real-time status using emotive and intuitive external lighting
“We are playing a central role in accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles,” said Scott Mercer, founder and CEO, Volta. “For adoption to grow, the available infrastructure must intelligently evolve to meet increased demand. Our chargers experience three times more usage compared to other charging networks, and the economics of our network are by far the best. This new station is a powerful tool in our mission to vanquish the fossil fuel industry.”
Compared to today’s offering of bland charging posts Volta’s eye-catching chargers have been designed with KISKA, a leading European design studio. The company believes creating an iconic design can inspire individuals towards adopting an electric future.
Volta’s new station is designed to work with all electric vehicles, with installations are expected to begin at the end of the year.
