The Farizon SV electric van will make its public debut at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show at the NEC in Birmingham from April 29 to May 1. While the L1 H1 and L2 H2 versions were previously demonstrated at Millbrook, the company will showcase the larger L3 H3 model for the first time at the event.
The purpose-built electric van incorporates drive-by-wire technology, a b-pillarless design, and cell-to-pack battery packaging that together deliver improved cargo capacity, payload, range, and a lower loading height.
The van comes in a single, well-equipped trim level featuring payload monitoring, heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated windscreen, 360-degree surround view, and comprehensive ADAS safety systems. The vehicle has received Euro NCAP’s top Platinum safety rating.
Customers can choose between a 67 kWh or 83 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with a larger 106 kWh nickel manganese cobalt battery available for the L3 H3 model. All variants feature the same electric powertrain producing 170 kW (231 PS) of power and 336 Nm of torque. The SV is rated to tow up to two tonnes with a braked trailer.
Farizon was established in 2016 as the commercial vehicle division of Geely, China’s largest private vehicle manufacturer. The UK introduction is being handled by Jameel Motors UK, a London-based automotive distribution business.
“Launching the Farizon SV at the Commercial Vehicle Show is another milestone as we look to establish the brand in the market and the van itself as a new benchmark,” said Tom Carney, Managing Director of Jameel Motors UK. “We look forward to introducing the L3 H3 for the first time, and to sharing our latest developments as we move quickly to help more fleets and users benefit from the true real-world practical benefits enabled by cutting edge tech.”
