Tata Elxsi and Minespider have announced their collaboration on Mobius+, a battery lifecycle management platform that combines data analytics with blockchain technology. The platform is designed to monitor batteries from production through recycling while ensuring compliance with international regulations.
The system provides real-time monitoring and compliance features for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and others in the battery supply chain, including material suppliers, manufacturers, and recyclers. Minespider contributes its blockchain-based battery passport technology, while Tata Elxsi leads the platform’s development and deployment, with an initial focus on the Indian market.
Mobius+ offers a cloud-based repository for battery data and supports integration with third-party systems. The platform allows vendors to upload supply chain data and enables OEMs to create customized workflows for analytics applications.
“Our collaboration with Minespider is a commitment to drive innovation in sustainable mobility,” said Anil Radhakrishnan, Chief Product Officer at Tata Elxsi. “With Mobius+, we aim to set a new benchmark for battery lifecycle management, providing customers with compliance-ready solutions, advanced tools, and data-driven insights to create a more sustainable and transparent future in mobility.”
Minespider’s Founder & CEO Nathan Williams added, “Partnering with Tata Elxsi enables us to bring our blockchain expertise to a comprehensive platform that supports the industry’s drive for transparency and compliance. By embedding battery passports into Mobius+, we’re providing a foundation for secure, reliable data that supports global sustainability goals.”
The platform debuted at the Bharat Mobility Show, where both companies demonstrated its capabilities. The solution is designed to meet various global standards, including the EU Battery Regulation.
