Performance car brand Cupra will begin taking orders for its first all-electric SUV coupe, the Tavascan, in the UK from next month. The car will be available in four trim levels: V1, V2, VZ1, and VZ2. The vehicle offers two power outputs: 286PS and 340PS, with the latter featuring a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The Tavascan’s 77kWh battery pack provides a range of up to 352 miles on a single charge. Charging options include AC systems up to 11kW and DC fast-charging networks up to 135kW. The top-spec model can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 112mph.
Cupra has highlighted the Tavascan’s design, featuring a distinctive front end with three-triangle signature headlamps and a ‘shark nose’ profile, aimed at creating a sporty aesthetic.
“This is a culmination of years of hard work, innovation, and design coming together to create the future of Cupra,” said Marcus Gossen, Director of Seat and Cupra UK. “The Tavascan marks the next step in the CUPRA electrification journey, and we’re delighted to be able to bring that to life on the UK roads from September this year.”
Potential buyers can find more information on CUPRA’s official UK website.
