Militem, the Italian company producing luxury off-road vehicles, has started marketing its first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Based on the Wrangler 4xe, the Militem Ferōx-E offers an advanced 2-litre petrol turbo engine teamed with two electric generators with high-voltage battery packs. Transmission is an 8-speed Torque Flite automatic while traction is all-wheel.
The car will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and a sophisticated system can optimize consumption and the guaranteed all-electric drive has an autonomy of approximately 50km. In hybrid mode, it consumes around 3.5 liters/100 km. A complete battery recharge takes less than 3 hours and can be programmed.
The Ferōx family’s offroad versatility is unaltered on this hybrid model. The torque is immediately on tap, allowing even better off-road performance in complete safety, in all-wheel drive and 100% electric. The new suspension system is specially designed to be adjusted to take on any terrain, and the double-calibrated gas shock absorbers are crafted from aluminum with a carbon-fiber finish. The system also includes an adjustable Track Bar (torsion bar) and efficient steering dampers.
Militem has completely overhauled the cabin to meet the needs of its luxury clients. Each Militem is hand-finished with the interior all about comfort and luxury. This unusual mix of ‘muscle car’ exterior and refined interior illustrates the marque’s commitment to function, without interfering with its attentive selection of materials and finishes. Different leather options can be chosen for the dashboard, instrument panel, steering wheel, and gear shift lever. The door panels and luggage compartment are also eye-catching with their carbon-fiber and all-Black trim. The carbon-fiber gloss interior pack means a carbon-fiber finish to the handles, steering wheel, and console.
